Membership terms and conditions

Membership in the Iranian Management Consultants Association

The condition of membership of legal entities in the association is the registration of the phrase “Management Consulting” or at least one of the specialized fields of management consulting in the articles of the company and its latest official newspaper as the subject of activity. For individuals, the condition of membership is having at least a bachelor's degree from a reputable university (Approved by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology or the Ministry of Health of Iran) in one of the fields related to the profession and relevant professional work experience. Prior to completing the forms according to the type of membership, please read the registration details below carefully. Also, you need to first create an account to join the association.

  • All applicants are required to study and adhere to the provisions of the Charter of Professional Ethics of Consultants. The submitted documents will be approved by the board of directors after being reviewed and confirmed by the evaluation and rating committee.
  • For membership registration of a legal entities, the profile should be created by the name and mobile number of the CEO.

  7. Delegating the Association Representative Offices to members from cities across the country
  8. Effective interaction with governmental and non-governmental institutions and centers aimed at developing the market and improving working conditions for management consultants
  9. Providing the service of receiving a certificate of clearance (COC) concerning the contract insurance premium for legal members according to the circular of 5/14 of the Social Security Organization
  10. Supporting the members concerning insurance problems with social security branches
  11. Providing the service of introducing the association as an agreed arbitrator in the contracts of the members with the employers
  12. The presence of the representative of the association in the meetings of the tax dispute resolution boards
  13. The presence of the social security insurance consultant on Tuesdays from 9 am to 2 pm at the secretariat of the association
  14. The presence of the legal advisor on Tuesdays from 13:00 to 17:00 at the secretariat of the association
  15. Providing public welfare services (signing a memorandum of understanding with Parsian Evin Hotel/members using the hotel pool with a special discount), medical services (supplementary health insurance of companies and their personnel), etc. to the members

About the CMC

The CMC (International Certified Management Consultant) is an international mark certified by the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (CMC-Global). The CMC represents excellence in the management consulting profession and enjoying from the highest professional standards and competencies as well as the commitment to professional ethics in providing management consulting services. The certified (qualified) management consultants are professionals who have been approved and accredited through accurate and detailed evaluations or through skills training by competent professional bodies to provide management consulting services throughout the world. This international certificate is now extensively accepted in more than fifty-two countries around the world and the number of countries joining the agreement is constantly growing. According to the regulations set by the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (CMC-Global), the Iranian Association of Management Consultants is the only permanent reference and issuance body of the CMC in Iran by passing various stages of evaluation and training of CMC evaluators.

About Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

  • Continuing Professional Development (CPD) refers to the continuance maintenance and development of the personal skills and knowledge required to fulfill professional responsibilities.
  • The CPD combines different methodologies, including workshops, conferences and events, e-learning programs, practical techniques, sharing of ideas, etc. for learning purposes, all of which are concentrated on personal improvement and professional progress.

Given the substantial role of management consultants in promoting productivity and developing the country's management and the exigency of continuous training and the development of skills of consultants at a world-class level and fit with the global modern standards, the Iranian Academy of Management Consulting holds the International Management Consultant Training Courses by benefiting from the CPD standard and providing the CMC certificate based on the latest reliable sources in the world.

The applicants must gain a total score of at least 610 CPD to acquire the International Management Consultant (CMC) certificate.

Participating in the evaluation process

Since participating in the CMC certificate acquisition process requires a thorough understanding of the necessary conditions and its process, the applicants are recommended to first evaluate their conditions and qualifications by studying the regulations of granting the CMC certificate and prepare the necessary documents, and then complete the forms for the registration.

The required documents and evidence

  • Valid membership in the Iranian Association of Management Consultants
  • Relevant academic certificate
  • Work experience
  • Obtaining letters of satisfaction and other confirmations received from customers
  • Providing the necessary documents confirming their participation in management consulting projects
  • Providing approval from expert partners (sponsors)
  • Performing self-assessment, and in the case of getting the minimum score, submitting the application (self-assessment form)

The process of registration and assessment of the eligibility of the applicant and issuing the CMC certificate

  1. Full and accurate study of the CMC regulations
  2. Completing and submitting the self-assessment form along with all the documents stated in the form (The applicants will be allowed to register in this process in case of gaining at least 65 points according to this form.)
  3. Completing the CMC certificate application form
  4. Obtaining approval from sponsors and supporters (The applicants must be approved and introduced by two certified management consultants (CMC) as a person working in the profession of management consultant).
  5. Completing and submitting the declaration and commitment forms
  6. The first stage payment (according to paragraphs 2-3 of the regulations) (The Rial amount will be deposited through an electronic payment portal.)
  7. Acceptance in the test designed for assessing the basics and general knowledge of management consulting (obtaining a minimum score of 70% according to the regulations)
  8. The second stage fee payment if accepted in the first stage (The Rial amount of the second stage is also deposited through the electronic payment portal)
  9. Acceptance in the test of familiarity with the professional ethics of management consulting (obtaining a minimum score of 75% according to the regulations)
  10. Attendance and acceptance in the evaluation process in the interview (obtaining a minimum score of 70% according to the regulations)
  11. The review and final approval of the results by the CMC Committee and the Board of Directors
  12. the issuance of the CMC Certificate by the International Council of Management Consulting Institutions (CMC-Global) signed by the Chairman of the International Council of Management Consulting Institutions, Chairman of the Board, and Chairman of the CMC Committee of the Iranian Association of Management Consultants

The registration fee and payment method

The total cost of the CMC test accounts for 25,000,000 Rials + 300 Euros; the payment steps are as follows:

Interview

The applicants need to deposit the Rial amounts (fees) to the account of the Management Consultants Association at any stage through the electronic payment portal. The foreign exchange amounts should also be paid in cash to the CMC unit of the association with prior coordination.

The registration process and receiving the relevant forms

The applicants for the CMC certificate are required to study the CMC regulations and perform a self-assessment to gain at least 65 points; then, they can complete and submit the following forms:

  • Self-assessment form
  • Registration application form
  • The CMC applicant's confirmation form
  • The CMC applicant's commitment form
  • The sponsor's introduction form

The renewal of the CMC certificate

The validity period of the certificate is three years and the holders of this certificate should take measures according to the self-assessment table specific for the certificate renewal applicants after the expiration of the deadline if they are willing to renew the certificate and continue to work in the management consulting profession.

The cost of renewing the CMC certificate accounts for 25% of the total amount of the CMC certificate (equivalent to 3,500,000 Rials + 65 Euros). The foreign currency amounts should be delivered in cash and the Rial amounts must be deposited in the account of the Iranian Association of Management Consultants.

Receiving the renewal self-assessment form

While submitting the application for renewal of the certificate, the applicant is required to send the completed self-assessment table of the renewal applicants associated with the image of the deposit receipt to the secretariat of the association via the email address: cmc@imca.ir.

Addressing the violations made by the CMC holders

Aimed at accurately adhering to the principles of professional ethics of management consulting, the Iranian Association of Management Consultants requests all consultants and employers to use the form below to report to us in the event of observing any behavior or performance contrary to the relevant ethical principles.

The Committee for the Investigation of Violations and Complaints gathers some information on the subject matter of the complaint and will investigate and follow up on the issue in question based on the regulations for handling violations and complaints.
