CMC Certification Requirements:

To begin the CMC certification journey, applicants should first familiarize themselves with the eligibility criteria and the overall process. We strongly recommend reviewing the CMC Certification Bylaw, assessing your readiness, and preparing the required supporting documents before completing the application forms and submitting your registration.

The required documents and supporting evidence include:

  1. Valid membership in the Iran Management Consultants Association (IMCA)
  2. Relevant academic degree
  3. Professional experience and track record
  4. Client references and formal confirmations (letters of satisfaction or endorsements)
  5. Evidence of participation in management consulting projects
  6. Endorsements from qualified senior consultants (Sponsors)
  7. Completion of the Self-Assessment, and—if the minimum score is achieved—submission of the official Self-Assessment Form as the application

  1. Carefully review the CMC Certification Bylaw in full.
  2. Complete and submit the Self-Assessment Form together with all supporting documents referenced in the form.
  3. (Applicants who achieve a minimum score of 65 will be eligible to enter the certification process.)
  4. Complete the CMC Certification Application Form.
  5. Obtain endorsement from two Sponsors.
  6. (Applicants must be endorsed by two certified CMC consultants who can confirm the applicant’s professional practice in management consulting.)
  7. Complete and submit the Agreement and Commitment Forms
  8. (required upon competency approval and concurrent with final certification).
  9. Pay the first-stage fee (via the online payment portal).
  10. Pass the Knowledge-Based Examination in the Common Body of Knowledge (CBK) and Professional Ethics, achieving a minimum score of 70 out of 100.
  11. Pay the second-stage fee upon successful completion of the first stage.
  12. Attend and pass the Project Evaluation Session, achieving a minimum score of 70 out of 100.
  13. Final review and approval of results by the CMC Committee and the Board of Directors.
  14. Official communication with ICMCI (International Council of Management Consulting Institutes) for issuing the CMC Certificate.

Applicants for the CMC designation must, after reviewing the CMC Certification Bylaw and completing the Self-Assessment, proceed with the submission of the following forms—only if they have achieved the minimum score of 65.

All completed forms should be emailed to cmc@imca.ir, along with payment of the registration fee:

  1. Self-Assessment Form
  2. Registration Application Form
  3. Sponsor Endorsement Form

The total cost of the CMC certification examination is 150,000,000 IRR + 300 EUR, which is payable in stages as outlined in the table below:

* Suppose an applicant is not accepted at any stage and wishes to continue the CMC certification process. In that case, they must repay the corresponding fee in accordance with the cost allocation outlined in the table above.

CMC Exam Preparation Courses

To help applicants succeed in the CMC certification process, GAMA, the executive arm of the Iran Management Consultants Association (IMCA), offers specialized CMC Exam Preparation Courses designed to guide candidates through the required knowledge and competencies.

The GAMA Training Department, as the executive arm of the Association, designs and delivers specialized CMC Exam Preparation Workshops and Courses fully aligned with the global professional requirements and guidelines of the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI). Through this alignment, GAMA has become part of the international network of accredited training institutions supporting the CMC certification pathway.

Our workshops are carefully crafted for professionals who demonstrate the foundational potential to become internationally qualified Certified Management Consultants (CMC). Each program is developed based on the latest standards, updates, and competency guidelines provided by ICMCI to its member institutes worldwide, ensuring that participants receive training that meets global expectations.
